I am a marine scientist and spend some of my free time as an artist. I'm married with two daughters and one son and currently working in Miami, Florida for BAE Systems, Spectral Solutions LLC.  I received my PhD in marine biology and fisheries in 2003 from the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science and have a few published papers. My area of research is shallow water optical remote sensing, using hyperspectral airborne imaging systems to map the seafloor.

For the last three years, I have been able to paint more and more and develop my painting business. There are some interesting things I am developing, including a painting studio for gaming miniatures and a line of custom miniatures based off my artwork that should further expand on this site. Now and then I make it out to Gencon and compete in the painting contest. I win some, I lose some, it's all good. In between figures, I paint in watercolors, acrylics, oils and occasionally on silks. Mostly I paint nature scenes or animals, with some fantasy art now and then.
